It also improves <strong>Child Theme Generator<\/strong> in order to better account for permissions related to theme changes and to secure generation actions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here are the details of what's new in WPMasterToolKit 2.25.0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Local Google Font: Host Google Fonts Directly on WordPress<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first new module in this version is <strong>Google Font Localization<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Many WordPress themes and plugins use Google Fonts to load their fonts. In a typical setup, the visitor's browser must retrieve these resources from Google's servers, specifically via <code data-no-auto-translation=\"\">fonts.googleapis.com<\/code> and <code data-no-auto-translation=\"\">fonts.gstatic.com<\/code>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Local Google Font allows you to <strong>download these fonts and host them directly on your WordPress site<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The module detects the Google Fonts stylesheets used by WordPress, downloads the necessary WOFF2 files, and generates a local CSS sheet. Once this version is validated, the remote URL is automatically replaced with the resource hosted on your own server.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This approach reduces reliance on external services and facilitates configurations in which fonts must be served directly from the site's domain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Automatic detection and hosting<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Local Google Font can automatically detect Google Fonts loaded through standard WordPress mechanisms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The option <strong>Automatic hosting<\/strong>, which is enabled by default, then automatically hosts a new source when it is discovered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A tool <strong>Scan Homepage<\/strong> is also available to analyze the homepage and immediately identify the Google Fonts style sheets used on it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Each source has its own status in WPMasterToolKit: discovered, hosted locally, or failed. It is also possible to rebuild the local files or delete them individually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The module performs several checks before using a local version to prevent a remote resource from being replaced by an incomplete or invalid version.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Media Trash: A Real Trash Can for the WordPress Media Library<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Accidentally deleting an image, a PDF, or another file from the media library can have more serious consequences than deleting an article or a page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new module <strong>Media Trash<\/strong> provides additional protection by enabling and utilizing WordPress's built-in media trash mechanism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Instead of being permanently deleted right away, media files can thus be <strong>temporarily stored in the Recycle Bin and restored in case of an error<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A configurable shelf life<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Media Trash allows you to set a retention period ranging from <strong>1 and 365 days<\/strong>, with a default value of <strong>90 days<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">WPMasterToolKit also takes into account WordPress\u2019s global cleanup mechanism. If the specified time limit for a media file has not yet been reached, the plugin prevents its permanent deletion when the trash is emptied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An automatic cleanup is performed daily to remove media that have exceeded their retention period. To avoid processing an excessive number of files in a single operation, the cleanup is limited to <strong>100 media items per run<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If a permanent deletion fails, the module waits one week before attempting it again on the same storage medium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Media Trash thus provides an additional safety net while preventing the indefinite storage of files that are no longer needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">No Theme Switch: Lock the Active WordPress Theme<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Accidentally changing the theme of a live site can immediately alter its appearance and disrupt certain features.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new module <strong>No Theme Switch<\/strong> eliminates this risk by <strong>locking the currently active WordPress theme<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once the module is enabled, no user can switch to another theme, including an administrator who would normally have the necessary permissions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This feature is particularly well-suited for client sites, production sites, and installations managed by multiple people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A problem directly related to WordPress permissions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No Theme Switch does more than just hide the buttons that let you activate another theme in the admin panel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The module interacts directly with WordPress's capacity system. When WordPress checks the capacity <code data-no-auto-translation=\"\">switch_themes<\/code>, WPMasterToolKit denies permission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The lock is therefore intentionally targeted: the user's other permissions are not removed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An administrator can continue to manage the site as usual based on their permissions, but they can no longer change the active theme while No Theme Switch is enabled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pixel Tag Manager: Centralize Your Pixels and Tracking Tags<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Pixel Tag Manager<\/strong> is the fourth new Pro module in WPMasterToolKit 2.25.0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Its goal is to centralize the configuration of the main audience measurement and advertising solutions within WordPress, without having to install multiple small plugins dedicated to each platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This first version supports <strong>8 destinations<\/strong> :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Google Tag Manager; ;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Google Analytics 4; ;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Google Ads; ;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Meta Pixel; ;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>TikTok Pixel; ;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>LinkedIn Insight Tag; ;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Microsoft Advertising UET; ;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pinterest Tag.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Each destination can be enabled independently and configured with the credentials required by the respective platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So you can either use Google Tag Manager exclusively or load multiple destinations directly from WPMasterToolKit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When Google Tag Manager and direct destinations are used together, the module displays a warning to alert you to the possibility of the same tags being loaded twice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Common Rules for Regulating Tracking<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pixel Tag Manager does more than just inject scripts into the <code data-no-auto-translation=\"\">&lt;head&gt;<\/code> from the website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The module allows you to determine <strong>Under what conditions should tracking actually be initialized?<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In particular, you can exclude administrators, all logged-in users, or certain specific WordPress roles. By default, administrators are excluded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tracking can also be limited to the WordPress environment <code data-no-auto-translation=\"\">production<\/code>, which prevents development and staging visits from being sent to analytics and advertising platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The module also avoids initializing its tracking in several contexts where it is not necessary, including the WordPress admin panel, feeds, trackbacks, certain bot requests, and the Customizer preview.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If no active destination is configured correctly, the Pixel Tag Manager frontend runtime simply will not load.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Joint Consent Management<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pixel Tag Manager distinguishes between two categories of consent: <strong>Analytics<\/strong> and <strong>Advertising<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Each destination can be assigned to one of these categories and an initial state <code data-no-auto-translation=\"\">granted<\/code> or <code data-no-auto-translation=\"\">denied<\/code> can be defined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A configurable time interval between <strong>0 to 10,000 milliseconds<\/strong>, with a default value of <strong>500 ms<\/strong>, also allows an external consent management solution time to send an update.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, Pixel Tag Manager does not replace a cookie banner or a CMP. It provides the mechanism that allows its tracking system to take consent status into account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The module also provides standardized events, validation of data sent to the front end, and a debug mode accessible to administrators with the appropriate permissions <code data-no-auto-translation=\"\">manage_options<\/code>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Child Theme Generator now better handles WordPress permissions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">WPMasterToolKit 2.25.0 also improves the module <strong>Child Theme Generator<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This development is particularly consistent with the introduction of No Theme Switch: generating a child theme and activating it are two operations that must properly account for the available permissions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Child Theme Generator now supports theme-switching capabilities and handles generation actions more reliably.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The module also provides clearer feedback on the status of the generation when the child theme is not active.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This makes it possible to better distinguish between the generation of the child theme and its potential activation, while adhering to the restrictions on changing themes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A version of WordPress focused on control<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With WPMasterToolKit <strong>2.25.0<\/strong>, four new features that previously might have required multiple extensions can now be managed directly from WPMasterToolKit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Google Font Localization<\/strong> allows you to host the Google Fonts used by the site locally. <strong>Media Trash<\/strong> Adds a grace period before files are permanently deleted from the media library. <strong>No Theme Switch<\/strong> locks the active theme.
